Decks to Try Kryoling and Lycavoid - Clash 08/08/25 Update

A small update to the card pool went in on August 8th, bringing a new card in Lycavoid MR1 as well as fixing the known issues with Kryoling, once again bringing the Kryoscorch line into meta contention. Though these are small in terms of quantity, these 2 updates alone change the meta landscape quite drastically, as Frost decks are finally back on the menu and Lunar Aggro is playable once again, so let’s dive in.
Ice is Nice
I’ve talked up Frost strategies a couple times in the past, but sadly with the realization of the Kryoling bug, one of the most reliable power options for the strategy was rendered useless. Until now! With Kryoling back at full power, decks once again have the option to go into heavier frost spirit packages to enable the Vyrn line, so here’s a couple decks to try out on ladder today!

Winning the August 2nd premiere with a deck on nobody’s radar, Perky shocked the community with their full art stellar Nyximera lines and boy did it stick! The core of the deck is similar to previous versions I covered over in our Frost Primer, so I won’t belabor the point to heavily here, but we’re playing a 5s core with Galaxea Champ and Astrabbit backed up by the power frost plays of Brumalynx Champ, the Nyximera core, and the Kryoling package, able to push shockingly powerful waves all at once thanks to Emphrostrix reviving a tagged-out Kryoling.

What’s better than a deck with a game winning nuke? A deck with a game winning nuke that can play the value game. The Bear Bomb package is a known quantity to players at this point, and the fact that it requires you to play a critical mass of Fire and Frost spirits to utilize does make it a prime candidate for Kryoling lines, but taking out the draw power cards (which never worked optimally in Clash due to missing Ignectar BS1) in exchange for the value trade potential of the Galaxea Champ and Astrabbit line makes the deck’s longevity skyrocket. Give this one a try if you haven’t already.
In the Name of the Moon, I’ll Punish You!
Werepup has had bit of a rough go as of late. Initially included in Clash without access to Full Moon or an ascension, he just sat there without a purpose. Then came the initial Firestorm card wave, which skyrocketed his usage with both Full Moon and Lycavoid Champ being added to the pool. Sadly for those that missed out on the Closed Beta, he plummeted back down on Early Access release due to Lycavoid Champ’s ban, with no option to ascend into left in the game. Thankfully, that has now been rectified with the release of Lycavoid MR1, bringing the classic Lunar Aggro line back to Clash

This deck was a Moonrise staple throughout that set’s meta game, and with Firestorm giving it another Vysceris and Galaxea Champ, the deck is still performing strong! Lycavoid MR1 might not be as versatile as Lycavoid Champ was, but it’s still an insanely powerful threat as long as your opponents aren’t maining Cryoblast. Save the Full Moon for the opportune moment and don’t forget about the 1 turn Counter Rune immunity!
Conclusions
This is a far more minor update comparatively to some of the card updates we’ve gotten in the past, but the quality of card here is through the roof. Try these out with your ladder climbs this week and be sure to let us know how they’re playing for you, we always love to hear your feedback! Until next time, this is Law, signing off!
